Jun Ji-hyun and Gang Dong-won, 'Polaris' Teaser Poster and Teaser Trailer Released

Disney+’s global project 〈Polaris〉 has released its teaser poster and teaser trailer. 〈Polaris〉 tells the story of Moon Joo (Jun Ji-hyun), who has built an international reputation as a UN ambassador, as she chases the truth behind the assassination attempt on a presidential candidate, facing a massive truth that threatens the Korean Peninsula alongside the unidentified special agent San-ho (Gang Dong-won) who must protect her.

The released teaser poster captivates attention with the fantastic visuals of Moon Joo and San-ho looking in the same direction against a backdrop of dozens of lights pouring in from the darkness. The light pouring towards Moon Joo and San-ho raises curiosity about whether it is the Polaris they must chase or a threat and confusion directed at them. The copy, “We will break through this storm to where the light awaits,” captures the moment of connection between the two as they move forward amidst precarious tension.

The teaser trailer released alongside it grabs attention with its massive scale, befitting a global project. In Seoul, South Korea, a tragic gunshot echoes during a mass praying for peaceful unification. At the historical site that shocked the world, Moon Joo and San-ho meet for the first time. The line, “This is a much bigger game than you think,” along with a mysterious object rising from the deep sea, hints at unpredictable developments. Additionally, the urgent scene in the U.S. White House featuring Deputy Secretary of State Anderson (John Cho) and the line, “A storm is coming now,” amplifies curiosity about a massive event that will shake not only the Korean Peninsula but the entire world.

To uncover the truth behind the assassination attempt on the presidential candidate, Moon Joo decides to run for election, while San-ho throws himself into danger to protect her, leading to a series of large-scale terrorist incidents that create surprise and tension. Moon Joo’s calm narration, filled with complex emotions, asking, “Who are you? Why have you come to me?” and the dramatic scene of the two meeting again at a bus stop stimulate imagination about how their relationship and drama will unfold.
