Webtoon artist Komabi's works are popular for their unique style and deep themes. Unlike the simple drawing style expressed with 'SD characters' where the face and body proportions are the same, his works tackle dark and heavy social themes, posing sharp questions with brilliant imagination.
Based on the webtoon of the same name published in 2011, 'S-Line' has recently gained attention again as a Wavve original drama. This work depicts the social chaos and changes in human relationships that occur when a red line appears above the head after sexual intercourse, illustrated in an omnibus format. It contains stories that cause ripples from cracks between couples to religion, the entertainment industry, and politics.

In an interview on the 4th, Komabi stated, "The airline route map was the starting point of the idea," and explained, "Many episodes came to mind at once, making it difficult to organize them, and I arranged them in order."
Originally, 'S-Line' was planned to be drawn in a dramatized style instead of the two-headed characters used in the previous work 'Murderer Awkward'. He recalled, "I dreamed of becoming a cartoonist in my childhood and pursued dense drawings, but those around me showed more interest in the doodle-like drawings I have now."
He continued, "When I started 'S-Line', I suggested a dramatized style, but at that time, Naver Webtoon CEO Kim Jun-gu firmly opposed it, advising that the style of 'Murderer Awkward' best showcased my unique color." Accordingly, he maintained a simple drawing style but inserted a dramatized frame at the end of each episode to reduce viewer fatigue and satisfy his own artistic ambitions.

'S-Line' dealt with human nature and sensitive social issues, causing controversy during its serialization. Due to concerns about controversy, some episodes were excluded. Komabi, who has been consistently active on portal sites since the 2010s, emphasized that he is still pursuing the comics he wants to see while serializing 'Sasa-dok'.
Recently, his webtoons have been actively adapted into videos. Last year, 'Murderer Awkward' was produced as a Netflix series starring Choi Woo-shik and Son Seok-koo, and this year 'S-Line' was released as a Wavve drama. Additionally, 'PTSD' has completed video adaptation contracts, and 'Third Person' is also in the development stage.
The artist expressed gratitude, saying, "Thanks to the goodwill of industry insiders," and added, "I can't exactly know the reason, but I'm thankful."
