Official Investigation into Spoilers... 'The Defects' Final Episode Uploaded

A situation has arisen where the final episode of the drama 〈The Defects〉 was released first, prompting an investigation into the circumstances.

〈The Defects〉 is an action thriller depicting the desperate survival and revenge of children who barely survive after being abandoned by their adoptive parents, based on the webtoon of the same name created by authors Eom Se-yoon and Ryu Ga-myeong. It began airing weekly on Mondays and Tuesdays from July 21 and is set to conclude with Episode 8 on August 12. It is broadcast on ENA and available on VOD through Tving.

However, on August 5, instead of Episode 6, which was supposed to be released on Tving, Episode 8 was posted, causing controversy. The page was labeled as Episode 6, but Episode 8 played, leading viewers to unintentionally receive spoilers about the ending. Tving stopped the posting of the video after about 20 minutes and addressed the issue with a notice. The production team later stated that they are investigating the circumstances of the incident.

〈The Defects〉 stars Yeom Jeong-ah, Won Jin-ah, Choi Young-jun, and Kim Jin-young among others, with only Episodes 7 on August 11 and 8 on August 12 remaining after the airing of Episode 6 on August 6.
