'Idol Star' Jo Hye-won Cast as Lead in Kakao Short-form Drama 'Bodyguard's Secret Contract'

Jo Hye-won, who was active as ZOA in the idol group 'Weekly', will take the lead role in a short-form drama.

Actress Jo Hye-won has been cast as the protagonist Dana in the Kakao short-form drama 〈Bodyguard's Secret Contract〉 (directed by Jeong Da-mi). 〈Bodyguard's Secret Contract〉 Season 1 depicts the process of Dana (Jo Hye-won), who is going through a tough school life, gradually opening her heart and changing after meeting the transfer student Woo-yeon (Ahn Se-min), only to get caught up in an unexpected emotional whirlwind upon discovering the secret he has been hiding.  

Jo Hye-won plays the role of Dana, a lonely high school girl suffering from school violence. Dana lives with her heart closed off, protecting herself from the harsh gazes and distorted rumors around her, but she is actually a person with a tender inner self, who gradually opens her heart and changes through her meeting with the transfer student Woo-yeon, who protects her.

Kakao short-form drama 〈Bodyguard's Secret Contract〉 Season 1 will start its pre-release on August 6, with all episodes released on August 13, and Season 2 will have all episodes released on the 20th after a pre-release on the 13th.
