How Rambo Became Rambo... Prequel in Progress

Rambo returns in a younger form.

According to reports from the media outlet 'Deadline', the film production company Millennium Media is preparing a prequel film about John Rambo. John Rambo is the protagonist of the 〈Rambo〉 series, previously portrayed by Sylvester Stallone. The series centers around Vietnam War veteran John Rambo being deployed to the battlefield for special missions, and in the first film 〈First Blood〉, Rambo was depicted as a character suffering from PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder). The upcoming prequel is expected to focus on Rambo's experiences during the Vietnam War.

As of now, it is known that filming for the movie is set to begin in Thailand in 2026. Noah Centineo is reportedly the leading candidate for the role of John Rambo. The film will be directed by Yalmarie Helender, who gained attention for her intense action in 〈Sisu〉.

Currently, it is reported that Sylvester Stallone will not be involved in the film.
