Choi Jung-won from UN Responds to Stalking Allegations: "Emotions Escalated During a Dispute, Misrepresented"

Recently, Choi Jung-won, who was investigated for stalking allegations, spoke out.

On August 19, reports emerged that singer and actor Choi Jung-won, who has been active as a member of UN, appeared at the police station for questioning. According to the reports, Choi Jung-won allegedly visited the victim's studio apartment on the 16th and engaged in threatening behavior, leading the Seoul Central Police Station to file charges for violations of the law regarding the punishment of stalking crimes and to apply for emergency measures from the court, which were approved on the 18th.

In response to the ongoing reports, Choi Jung-won clarified his position through SNS. He explained that the reported incident was a misunderstanding that escalated from a personal conflict with his girlfriend. He stated that the claims of threats or stalking were misrepresented and that his girlfriend also denies these allegations.

Choi Jung-won is currently involved in a civil lawsuit due to an affair controversy in 2023.
