Webtoon 'Sangnamja' Drama Production Confirmed!...Actor Kim Hee-won to Direct

Naver Webtoon’s subsidiary Studio N announced on the 26th that it will begin production of a drama based on the popular webtoon 'Sangnamja'.

'Sangnamja' tells the story of the protagonist Han Yoo-hyun, who rises to the position of CEO but loses everything he loves, returning to his younger days to relive his life. It is regarded as a representative work of the 'office genre', where he goes back to the past and gradually climbs the ranks starting from a new employee.

This work, originally a web novel, was adapted into a webtoon in 2020 and has gained immense popularity, surpassing 470 million cumulative views globally. Its unique setting and immersive storytelling, focusing on regression and workplace life, have resonated with readers.

The direction will be handled by Kim Hee-won, a director from an acting background, who produced the Disney+ original series 〈Lighting Store〉.
