Three Korean-American singers who sang the song for the Netflix animated movie 〈K-Pop Demon Hunters〉 will take the stage at a major U.S. music awards ceremony.

According to the official social media of the '2025 MTV Video Music Awards' (VMA) on the 2nd (local time), singers Lee Jae, Ray Ami, and Audrey Nuna announced that they will appear as presenters at the VMA ceremony to be held on the 7th at the UBS Arena in New York.

In a video released by the VMA, Lee Jae expressed, "We are very happy to be appearing as presenters," and added, "I hope to see everyone at the awards ceremony."

Lee Jae, a composer who is a former SM Entertainment trainee, voiced the character Lumi, the leader of HuntRix in the movie, while Ray Ami and Audrey Nuna sang the roles of Joy and Mira, respectively. All three share the commonality of being Korean-American.

The original soundtrack (OST) 'Golden' from 〈K-Pop Demon Hunters〉 that they participated in is currently creating a sensation in the U.S. pop music scene. The song has maintained the number one spot on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 for three consecutive weeks.

On the 2nd, Billboard announced that 'Golden' ranked 7th on the 'Songs of the Summer' chart. This chart is a ranking that Billboard compiles from June to early September each year, selecting the most popular songs of the summer based on 'Hot 100' streaming, radio airplay scores, and music sales.

As for Korean artists, the group BTS's 'Butter' topped the 'Songs of the Summer' chart in 2021. This year's 'Songs of the Summer' number one is pop star Alex Warren's 'Ordinary.'
