
Winning both the Emmy Award and the British Academy Television Award, Apple TV+’s flagship series ‘Slow Horses’ has released a trailer ahead of its Season 5 premiere on September 24 (Wednesday). Praised for Gary Oldman’s intense performance and gripping story, ‘Slow Horses’ is a spy drama series depicting the journey of Team Slough House, which has nowhere left to retreat within the British intelligence agency MI5. Season 5 of ‘Slow Horses’ is based on the next story in the ‘Slough House’ novel series by Mick Herron, who won the CWA Gold Dagger Award, and follows the journey of agents who have been sidelined at MI5 as they come together at Team Slough House.
Gary Oldman returns as the grumpy yet sharp-minded team leader ‘Jackson Lamb’, leading the team members gathered at Slough House again due to a fatal mistake during an operation. In Season 5 of ‘Slow Horses’, the team’s hacker ‘Roddy Ho’ (Christopher Chung) is suspected due to his relationship with a new girlfriend, while Team Slough House is expected to take on the mission of uncovering the bizarre incidents that have been occurring throughout London.
The released trailer features the line “I’m going to seal off Slough House” and captures the confrontation between ‘Jackson Lamb’ and ‘Diana Taverner’ (Kristin Scott Thomas), who comes to Slough House from headquarters, drawing attention. It also shows team member ‘Roddy Ho’ being dragged to headquarters under suspicion of being connected to an incident where 11 lives were lost overnight, raising curiosity about future developments.
