STAYC's Sumin Makes Screen Debut in Horror Film 'THE CURSED' Opening on the 17th

K-pop girl group STAYC's Sumin is making her screen debut.

Sumin will appear in the movie 〈THE CURSED〉 (directed by Hong Won-ki), which is set to be released on the 17th, taking her first steps as rookie actress Bae Sumin. The film 〈THE CURSED〉 depicts a chilling story of people who venture into the ghost trading market 'THE CURSED' to obtain what they cannot have when the fox window opens.

Sumin is challenging acting for the first time after her debut. In 〈THE CURSED〉, Sumin plays the role of Soo-yeon, the daughter of Hee-jin (Seo Young-hee), who risks everything to send her daughter to a prestigious university by stepping into the forbidden market 'THE CURSED'. Sumin is expected to vividly portray the character of Soo-yeon, a student obsessed with grades and college entrance exams, raising realistic anxiety to a chilling sense of horror.

Meanwhile, STAYC recently successfully concluded their world tour 'STAY TUNED' held in eight cities across Asia and will continue performances in ten cities in the Americas starting in October.
