Director Um Ha-neul's feature debut 〈You and My 5 Minutes〉 has confirmed its release in November and unveiled its teaser poster and teaser trailer, having garnered significant attention by winning the Best Film Award at the Jecheon International Music Film Festival and being invited to various prestigious film festivals both domestically and internationally.

The film 〈You and My 5 Minutes〉, set in 2001, a year filled with unfamiliarity and new experiences, depicts the story of two boys who shared their favorite music and secrets. It is the feature debut of director Um Ha-neul, who has showcased a unique perspective and lyrical sensibility through short films such as 〈Peter Pan's Dream〉, 〈Not Found〉, and 〈Embarrassing but〉. 〈You and My 5 Minutes〉 is inspired by the legendary J-POP group globe's mega hit song 'Departures', which represents Japan's winter and first love, and has already created buzz by sweeping various film festivals, including the Best Film Award at the Jecheon International Film Festival, the JAIHO Award at the Osaka Asian Film Festival, and the Ddaengrang Coin Award at the Jeongdongjin Independent Film Festival. Additionally, Shim Hyun-seo, who showcased exceptional dance skills as 'Billy' in the musical [Billy Elliot], and Hyun Woo-seok, an emerging icon in the independent film scene with the face of youth, star in the film, promising delicate emotional lines and sparkling chemistry that hint at excitement and lingering feelings.

The teaser poster, released alongside the confirmation of the film's release, captivates with a square CD case concept that depicts the story of the two boys, 'Kyung-hwan' and 'Jae-min', who gradually close the distance between them through music. The teaser poster, which resembles an album, shows the two sharing earphones on a bus, listening to the same music, evoking the fresh excitement that can only be felt during teenage years and raising expectations for the story between them. The tagline, 'In 2001, a year filled with unfamiliarity and new experiences, two boys who shared Japanese music', evokes nostalgic analog feelings of that time, hinting at the emotions that only the two could feel during their time together. The accompanying poster, featuring the tagline 'Things I Forgot in 2001' and a scene of them holding a shared earphone delicately in hand, promises the lyrical quality unique to 〈You and My 5 Minutes〉.

Meanwhile, the teaser trailer released alongside the teaser poster also captures the lyrical sensibility unique to 〈You and My 5 Minutes〉. In 2001, the kind class president 'Jae-min' approaches 'Kyung-hwan', who had just transferred to Daegu and was living like a loner, and their short conversation, “Wow, are you being nice to me?”, “Just because it's you”, captures the strange atmosphere flowing between the two and heightens anticipation for the story to unfold. Starring Shim Hyun-seo and Hyun Woo-seok, 〈You and My 5 Minutes〉 will officially hit theaters this November, taking us back to the most precious times and emotions of that era.
