The original musical 'The Man in Hanbok', based on the life and death mystery of the genius scientist Jang Young-sil from the Joseon Dynasty, will take the stage.

EMK Musical Company announced on the 17th that the tenth original musical 'The Man in Hanbok' will open on December 2 at the main theater of Chungmu Art Center. This work is based on the novel of the same name by Lee Sang-hoon.

The piece features a narrative structure that freely traverses time and space, including Joseon and Renaissance Europe, as it unravels the mystery surrounding Jang Young-sil. A notable feature of this performance, celebrating the 20th anniversary of Chungmu Art Center, is that all actors will play two roles each.

Looking at the main cast, Park Eun-tae, Jeon Dong-seok, and Ko Eun-sung have been cast as the scholar Kang Bae, who is tracking the truth of the memoirs, and Jang Young-sil. Kai, Shin Sung-rok, and Lee Gyu-hyung will take on the roles of the PD Jin-seok and King Sejong, who are pursuing the truth of the memoirs. Additionally, Min Young-ki, Choi Min-cheol, Kim Joo-ho, Kim Dae-ho, Lee Ji-soo, and Choi Ji-hye are also part of the cast.
