Gong Myung Donates 50 Million Won to World Vision.. Donation to Child Care Facilities

Actor Gong Myung continues his steady charitable activities.

As an ambassador for the international relief and development NGO World Vision (Chairman Cho Myung-hwan), Gong Myung has been engaged in various activities and has practiced another act of kindness in celebration of Chuseok. On the 16th, World Vision announced that Gong Myung donated 50 million won to be used for Chuseok gifts for children in child care facilities and for the creation of facility spaces.
 
At the donation ceremony held at the World Vision headquarters, Gong Myung said, "I joined with the hope that the children can have a warm Chuseok and that they can have a space where they can relax comfortably," and added, "I will continue to strive to contribute to places that need help in the future." World Vision also expressed gratitude for Gong Myung's consistent interest and support, according to reports.

In accordance with Gong Myung's intentions, this donation will be used to provide warm holiday gifts to children in child care facilities and to remodel the rooftop space within the facility to create a resting area where they can share their hearts and relax freely. Additionally, Gong Myung is expected to directly visit the facility during the Chuseok holiday period to participate in volunteer activities with the children, adding warmth to the occasion.

Gong Myung's charitable activities with World Vision began in 2024. He first connected with World Vision through a campaign for youth outside of families and was appointed as an official ambassador in May of the same year. Since then, he has continued to support various initiatives, including donations commemorating his 10th anniversary as an actor, a water project in Bangladesh, and medical expense support for youth preparing for independence. In March 2025, he participated in a campaign to support children affected by war alongside his agency Saram Entertainment's Jeong Geon-joo, Choi Hee-jin, Yoon So-hee, and Irene, and recently visited Uganda in Africa to continue his volunteer work.
 
Meanwhile, Gong Myung plays the mysterious transfer student 'Han Yoon-seok' in the Netflix movie 〈Love Untangled〉, depicting various aspects of youth with his unique sensibility and strong presence, winning the love of viewers worldwide.
