Gong Myung expressed, "I wanted to join because of my love for movies," sharing his thoughts on appearing in 'Life is a Movie', and he also revealed his promotional intentions for the film 'The History of Confession', which was released on Netflix on the 29th of last month. He took time to reflect on the diverse aspects of actor Gong Myung as they walked through his filmography, now in his 13th year since debut.
Recalling memories of his debut work, the omnibus film 〈Any Perspective〉, Gong Myung chose 'Seonjae' from 'Ice River' as his favorite character, showing his affection. As a rookie, Gong Myung was like a blank canvas that could express the director's intentions perfectly, and in 2014, he caught the attention of directors in the film 'This is the End for Us', emerging as a star in the independent film scene. Before becoming a ten-million actor with 'Extreme Job', he steadily built his filmography from independent films, showcasing his growth as a late-blooming actor through various genres and characters over the past decade.
Especially during his military service, Gong Myung appeared in 'Hansan: Rising Dragon' and 'Killing Romance', making it feel like there was no gap in his career. He showcased deep acting in 'Citizen Deokhee' and took on his first villain role in 'The Square', continuing his constant transformation as an actor.
