Go Hyun-jung Rescues 6-Year-Old Child Actor on the Set of 'Queen Mantis'

It has recently come to light that actress Go Hyun-jung saved a 6-year-old child actor during the filming of the drama 〈Queen Mantis: The Murderer's Outing〉 last year.

According to the broadcasting industry on the 9th, the mother of child actor Jo Se-woong posted about the incident on social media on the 7th. While filming the drama on an island in Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do last year, her child was almost swept away by the waves, and Go Hyun-jung jumped in to save him.

Jo Se-woong's mother expressed her gratitude, saying, "Se-woong's lifesaver, actress Go Hyun-jung," and detailed the situation. She said, "As soon as the child saw the sea, he ran towards it, and just when the calm waves were about to engulf Se-woong, actress Go Hyun-jung came running from afar like lightning to save him."

She continued, "Her clothes got completely soaked, and she threw herself in to save him; I don't know how to express my gratitude," adding, "As a mother, I was so shocked that I turned to ice, but I truly want to thank her once again."

The scene in question is a flashback of the serial killer Jung Yi-shin (played by Go Hyun-jung) and her son Cha Soo-yeol playing at the beach, which was included in the first episode aired on the 5th.

The crime thriller drama 〈Queen Mantis: The Murderer's Outing〉 starring Go Hyun-jung is currently recording high viewership ratings, with the peak rating for the second episode reaching 10%.
