One-on-One Deathmatch Mirror Battle! Coupang Play ‘Just Makeup’ Episodes 4 and 5 Released Today

Coupang Play’s entertainment show 〈Just Makeup〉 will simultaneously release episodes 4 and 5 today, October 10th (Friday) at 8 PM. The show 〈Just Makeup〉 is a massive makeup survival competition where makeup artists representing K-beauty globally fiercely compete with their own unique styles. In this episode, the competition for the top spot among K-beauty artists will heat up even more with heightened quality and overwhelming scale.

In episode 4, the 30 participants who passed the first round mission will receive their second round mission and continue the fierce competition. The second mission is "One person will definitely be eliminated. 1:1 Deathmatch Mirror Battle" with 15 makeup themes presented, including Rock Chic, Drag, K-POP, Fusion Orientalism, and Glam Grunge. The artist randomly selected by MC Lee Hyori will choose a theme, and other participants will apply for a match based on that theme or artist. Identical twin models will appear for each theme, and the two participants will face off, interpreting the same theme in their own ways.

The most anticipated theme, ‘Red Horse’, features the Parisian Golden Hand and Glitter Magician facing off. The Parisian Golden Hand presents a concept of a warrior riding a red horse, while the Glitter Magician showcases makeup themed around the goddess of victory heading into battle, impressing the judges. Following this, various themed battles will unfold, including Fusion Orientalism, Sports Photoshoot, Rock Chic, 90’s High Teen, Futurism, and Glam Grunge. There is great anticipation for what details and techniques the participants will showcase based on their signature styles.

In episode 5, starting with the results of the Glam Grunge judging, battles will continue with themes that even the judges found hard to distinguish, such as Barbie and Pop of Color, Bohemian, Natural, Glitter Party, Flapper Look, K-POP, and Drag. Under the pressure of having to complete not only the makeup but the overall styling within a limited time, participants struggle to express their own colors. As the competition heats up, the rivalry intensifies, but at the same time, they show a sense of unity as they admire each other's results. With the conclusion of the second round, the 15 successful candidates will be announced, and an additional successful candidate announcement is anticipated, raising the tension to its peak.
