The touching human drama 〈Leaving Mom〉, featuring Vietnam's national actors Tuan Tran, Hong Dao, and Jung Il-woo, is gaining recognition as a true example of a collaborative film completed over three years of cooperation between Korea and Vietnam, with press stills released to heighten anticipation for its release.

Having topped the box office for 15 consecutive days in Vietnam and surpassed 2 million viewers, 〈Leaving Mom〉 is gaining attention as a prime example of a Korea-Vietnam co-production, raising expectations for its domestic release. 〈Leaving Mom〉 is a human drama about a son named 'Hwan', who works as a street barber and takes care of his mother suffering from Alzheimer's, embarking on a journey to take her to his brother in Korea, whom he has never met.

〈Leaving Mom〉 is a Korea-Vietnam joint film that perfectly captures Vietnam, adding uniqueness as it was completed over three years of collaboration between Korea and Vietnam, starting from the story development stage rather than just technical exchanges. Director Mo Hong-jin of 〈Leaving Mom〉 began working on a script that includes both Korean and Vietnamese elements, staying in Vietnam to develop the screenplay that showcases the warm family love between the son 'Hwan' and his mother 'Le Thi Han', who suffers from Alzheimer's. Notably, 〈Leaving Mom〉 features a balanced credit list of production staff from both Korea and Vietnam, who exchanged extensive feedback from the script stage to infuse Vietnamese culture into the film.

Moreover, during the filming in Vietnam, interpreter staff and dialogue review staff assisted Director Mo Hong-jin in communicating with Vietnamese actors and production staff, striving to realize a structure where Korea and Vietnam collaborate equally based on respect and understanding, rather than a simple packaging-focused co-production. After over three years of effort from the Korean and Vietnamese production teams, 〈Leaving Mom〉 was completed and released in Vietnam on August 1, successfully moving and entertaining Vietnamese audiences, surpassing 2 million viewers, and gaining recognition as a true example of a Korea-Vietnam joint film, raising expectations for its domestic release.

Meanwhile, 〈Leaving Mom〉 has caught attention by releasing press stills that heighten anticipation for its release on November 5. The stills showcase the hardworking son 'Hwan', who lives as a street barber while caring for his mother, and the childlike innocence of his mother 'Le Thi Han', which amplifies curiosity about the characters. Additionally, stills depicting the struggles of son 'Hwan' as his mother increasingly regresses into a childlike state evoke deep emotions, further enhancing expectations for the story they will unfold. Alongside this, stills of Jung Il-woo, who plays the caring husband and father 'Jung Min', show a different side to the audience, capturing his shy demeanor when in love, the happy family man, and moments of him playing guitar and singing in Vietnamese, adding to the film's uniqueness.
