‘Sculpture City’ Do Kyung-soo's First Transformation into a Villain! Revealing the Character Still of the Sculptor Who Designs the Incident!

Tae-jung (Ji Chang-wook), who lived an ordinary life, gets wrongfully caught up in a heinous crime and ends up in prison one day, only to find out that everything was planned by Johan (Do Kyung-soo), leading him to execute his revenge.

In 2025, Disney+ revealed a character still of Do Kyung-soo, who will showcase another transformation as An Johan in the best entertaining series 〈Sculpture City〉. 〈Sculpture City〉 is an action drama where Tae-jung (Ji Chang-wook), who lived an ordinary life, gets wrongfully caught up in a heinous crime and ends up in prison, discovering that everything was planned by Johan (Do Kyung-soo), leading him to execute his revenge.

From the movie 〈Swing Kids〉 〈The Moon〉 〈Secret That Cannot Be Told〉 to the drama 〈It’s Okay, That’s Love〉 〈100 Days My Prince〉, actor Do Kyung-soo, who has always freely embodied characters with a new face, challenges the role of a villain for the first time in his filmography through 〈Sculpture City〉. Playing the role of the sculptor An Johan, who designs incidents, he will reveal a new face as a cruel and mad character who carves the lives of others. An Johan operates a special security service for the top 1%, feeling exhilarated as he manipulates evidence to redesign the true culprit of the incident. He begins to clash fiercely with Tae-jung as he designs a new plan to eliminate Tae-jung, who may become his only failure.

The released still captures Do Kyung-soo's cold and ruthless appearance like never before. Johan's figure, seemingly searching for another target in a white room where he observes all incidents through CCTV, amplifies curiosity about what incidents he will carve in the future. In particular, Do Kyung-soo has put a lot of thought into his appearance to highlight the villainous charm of the Johan character, using a short and sharp hairstyle and monochromatic outfits, raising expectations for the villain character he will present.

Do Kyung-soo stated, “I challenged the villain role for the first time. Since the character itself needs to appear cold, I pondered how to express the character Johan,” revealing the process of his careful consideration for his first transformation into a villain. Director Park Shin-woo expressed satisfaction with Do Kyung-soo, stating, “Johan is a character that is pure evil. Do Kyung-soo's clear eyes and innocent smile perfectly matched the image of Johan I envisioned,” raising curiosity about the villain he will portray.

With Ji Chang-wook racing hotly towards revenge and Do Kyung-soo presenting a new face with his first villain role, the intense confrontation, the synergy of fresh actors like Kim Jong-soo, Jo Yoon-soo, and Lee Kwang-soo, and the solid writing by 〈Taxi Driver〉 series writer Oh Sang-ho, the original series 〈Sculpture City〉 on Disney+ is generating anticipation for its extreme genre fun. It will release four episodes on November 5 (Wednesday) exclusively on Disney+, followed by two episodes each week, totaling 12 episodes.
