Based on the works of Stephen King, known for his human dramas such as <The Shawshank Redemption> and <The Green Mile>, <The Life of Chuck> has confirmed its release in South Korea.
<The Life of Chuck> is based on a short story by Stephen King, telling the story of a teacher named Marty who discovers gratitude towards 'Chuck' in a world that seems to have come to a standstill due to a great crisis. Starring Tom Hiddleston, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Karen Gillan, the film is directed by Mike Flanagan, who previously adapted Stephen King's novels into films such as <Gerald's Game> and <Doctor Sleep>.
<The Life of Chuck> won the Audience Award at the 49th Toronto International Film Festival, capturing the attention of movie fans worldwide. Although Stephen King is often associated with horror and terror, this film is anticipated as a human drama that showcases his strong humanistic themes, similar to <Stand by Me>, <The Shawshank Redemption>, and <The Green Mile>.
<The Life of Chuck> revealed its first teaser poster in South Korea on October 17 and announced its release in December.
