Tving, Bae Hyun-seong and Cha Gang-yoon Star in 'Proxy Exam' to be Released Next Year

OTT platform Tving announced on the 22nd that it will release the original series 〈Proxy Exam〉 starring actors Bae Hyun-seong and Cha Gang-yoon next year.

〈Proxy Exam〉 is a manipulation crime thriller set in a prestigious autonomous private high school. The story depicts a student who ranked first in the entire school as a special scholarship recipient from a low-income family, taking the proxy exam for a blackmailer who holds his weakness.

In the drama, Bae Hyun-seong plays Nam Jae-yeop, who wears the mask of a perfect model student but exhibits extreme behavior to meet his father's standards. Cha Gang-yoon portrays Kang Geon-tae, who maintains his top rank as a special scholarship student from a low-income family and receives a proxy exam proposal from Jae-yeop. Park Yoon-ho has been cast as Joo Hee-dong, whom his friend Geon-tae admires and looks up to.

Veteran actors also joined the cast, enhancing the quality of the work. Um Ji-won plays the secretive parent Sim Gyeong-o, who gave up her career for her son. Park Hyuk-kwon plays Nam Jae-yeop's father, Nam Dong-sik, who is running for the district mayor, while Baek Ji-won plays Nam Jae-yeop's mother, Baek Sun-hee.

The directing team is led by Park So-yeon, who gained attention through 〈Pyramid Game〉. The script is written by rookie writer Choi Soo.
