Broadcaster Jeon Hyun-moo has unveiled a real scrubbing scene at the traditional Turkish bath 'Hammam'. In the 329th episode of KBS2's entertainment program 'Boss's Ears Are Donkeys' (hereafter 'Boss's Ears'), which aired on the 26th, Jeon Hyun-moo showcased his Hammam experience after appearing on the Turkish public broadcaster TRT with Eom Ji-in, Jung Ho-young, and Heo Yoo-won.
Hammam is a traditional bathing culture in Turkey that has been passed down for 550 years, derived from the Arabic word 'hamma', which means 'to heat up'. It began in Byzantine-style baths during the Roman Empire and evolved into its current form with the addition of the Turkish steam bathing method during the Ottoman Empire. It is usually located next to mosques and was used for the purpose of purifying the body before prayer.
Jeon Hyun-moo revealed his real scrubbing scene for the first time in the history of the broadcast. Lying on a large marble slab, Jeon Hyun-moo and Jung Ho-young experienced intense scrubbing after being lathered with soap all over their bodies. The sound of 'slap slap' echoed with every movement, causing Kim Sook in the studio to burst into laughter.
Before filming, Jeon Hyun-moo left a meaningful remark, saying, "Please pay attention to that person," and "Until now, we didn't realize the seriousness of the situation." During the experience, he expressed a puzzled look, saying, "But is this right?" Jung Ho-young humorously described, "My body was spinning around, and it felt like I had become a frozen tuna."
Meanwhile, 'Boss's Ears Are Donkeys' airs every Sunday at 4:40 PM on KBS2.
