Kang Seung-yoon, Solo Comeback!...Next Month Regular 2nd Album 'Page 2' Release Announcement

Kang Seung-yoon of the group Winner is returning to fans with a solo album after 4 years and 7 months.

YG Entertainment announced on the 30th that Kang Seung-yoon will release his solo regular 2nd album 'Page 2' on the 3rd of next month. This is the first release since his solo 1st album 'Page' in 2021.

Kang Seung-yoon stated about this album, "I freely expressed the music I wanted to do," and added, "This album is the result of Kang Seung-yoon's music expanding and growing further."

The new album will include 13 tracks produced by Kang Seung-yoon himself, including the title track 'Me' (美), 'Barefoot', and 'Far Away'. Notably, 'Love Play' features Red Velvet's Seulgi, and 'I'll Come to Get You' features Eun Ji-won, drawing attention.

Kang Seung-yoon explained about the album's composition, saying, "I structured the songs in a kind of 'short story collection' that depicts different emotions of various narrators for each song." He added, "I arranged the songs to connect the emotional lines from the excitement of starting love to the fading relationship and the detached feelings after a breakup."

Kang Seung-yoon, who completed his military service from 2023 to last December, reflected that his military life had a positive impact on the album production. He said, "There was a friend among my military colleagues who believed in his dreams and artistry, and I found that amazing," and added, "Seeing him made me think, 'If I don't accept myself as an artist, my creations cannot be art either,' and I was able to shake off the anxiety that comes from uncertainty."

Kang Seung-yoon emphasized, "I made a resolution to create anything with faith in myself," stating, "'Page 2' is an album made with that conviction and confidence."
