Actor Lee Lee-kyung is leaving the MBC entertainment program 'How Do You Play?' due to scheduling issues, including overseas filming. The production team announced on the 4th through an official statement that Lee Lee-kyung will be leaving and that Yoo Jae-suk will personally greet him.
Difficulty in Balancing Overseas Schedules and Fixed Entertainment Shows
The production team of MBC's 'How Do You Play?' stated, "Lee Lee-kyung has been concerned about participating in the program due to his schedule, which includes overseas commitments, and recently expressed his intention to leave." They added, "We respect Lee Lee-kyung's opinion and, after discussions, decided to support each other's paths."
Lee Lee-kyung joined in September 2022 and has been active as a member of Yoo Jae-suk's line for about 3 years and 2 months, bringing vitality to the program. He proved his popularity by winning the 2022 MBC Broadcasting Entertainment Awards Music & Talk Popularity Award and the 2023 Male Excellence Award in the Show Variety Category through 'How Do You Play?'.

Recently, Lee Lee-kyung completed filming for the movie 'Generation Regret' and has overseas schedules overlapping with the fixed filming of 'How Do You Play?' every Thursday, including his next film and the Japanese TBS drama 'Dream Stage', making his departure inevitable.
No Rumors, Clean Conclusion
Lee Lee-kyung will be absent starting from the 6th filming and will leave the program without a separate final recording, concluding with the existing broadcast. However, he will continue to appear in other fixed entertainment programs such as ENA's 'I Am Solo' and E Channel's 'Brave Detectives'.
Meanwhile, Lee Lee-kyung was embroiled in personal life rumors last October, but it was revealed that the content was manipulated false information by AI. Both his agency, Sangyoung ENT, and the production team emphasized that his departure and the personal life controversy are unrelated. The agency is currently taking strong action by suing those who spread false information and defamation.
