Tragic News Just After 9th Wedding Anniversary
Duarte's agency Aluma Media Group announced his death on social media on November 9, expressing deep sorrow. The agency stated, "He was a true partner and an amazing person, and his passion, professionalism, and creativity left a lasting impact on everyone."
He was traveling in Texas with his wife Jessica and their 6-year-old daughter Oakley when the accident occurred, just 3 days after celebrating their 9th wedding anniversary.
Fans Mourn and Fundraising Efforts Begin
The exact circumstances of the accident have not been disclosed, but the family has started a GoFundMe campaign to transport Duarte back to California and cover funeral expenses. As of November 12, over $60,000 has been raised towards a goal of $100,000, as his fans express their condolences.
Duarte began learning to cook at his uncle's Mexican restaurant at the age of 14 and gained significant popularity during the pandemic by posting cooking videos online, focusing on BBQ and grilling content.
