Paris Jackson, the 27-year-old actress and singer and daughter of Michael Jackson, candidly revealed that she is in a state of septal perforation due to past drug use, warning her fans.

In a video posted on November 10 on TikTok, Paris disclosed that she has a hole in the cartilage that separates her nostrils, shining her phone flash into her nose and explaining, "I make a really loud whistling sound when I breathe through my nose".

"Drugs Ruined My Life"

Paris firmly warned, "This hole is because of what you think it is" and added, "Kids, don't do drugs". Although she joked that "I can pass a spaghetti noodle from one side to the other", she clearly stated, "Drugs ruined my life".

Publicly revealing that she was previously addicted to heroin and alcohol, Paris is currently maintaining sobriety for about 6 years. She mentioned that she might undergo surgery for the septal perforation but decided against it due to the painkillers she would need to take after the surgery.

Positive Life After Sobriety

In January of this year (January 2025), Paris celebrated 5 years of sobriety on social media, confessing, "I can smile today and make music because I am sober", emphasizing a positive life.

Last October, she received the Shining Star Award at the Friendly House Awards Luncheon, expressing her gratitude for being "part of a movement that develops conscious contact". Paris is one of the children of the late Michael Jackson, along with her siblings Prince Michael Jackson (28) and Bigi Jackson.
