Paris Jackson (27), daughter of the 'King of Pop' Michael Jackson and a model and actress, raised awareness by revealing serious physical aftereffects from drug use.

On the 10th (local time), Paris Jackson stated in a video posted on her TikTok account, "I am suffering from a septal perforation." Septal perforation refers to a condition where there is a hole in the inner wall of the nose, which can occur due to trauma or disease that damages the nasal vessels.

She showed a small hole in the middle wall by illuminating her nose with her phone's light. Paris said, "When I breathe through my nose, it makes a really loud whistling sound. It's for the reason you think," and emphasized, "Guys, don't do drugs. It ruined my life."

Paris revealed that she has been drug-free for six years. However, she stated that she does not plan to undergo surgery to repair the septal perforation. She explained that "if I have such a terrible surgery, I would have to take medication," showing her determination not to encounter narcotic painkillers again.

This confession comes a month after she shared her journey of quitting drugs at the '35th Friendly House Awards' held in Los Angeles last month. At that time, she received the 'Shining Star Award' at an event related to a rehabilitation program for women recovering from trauma.

In her speech, Paris said, "I didn't just get my life back. I gained a better life," and added, "Helping someone develop conscious efforts was the greatest act of my life. I hope to continue helping others in the future."

Paris Jackson's confession starkly illustrates the dangers of drugs beyond personal regrets. In the United States, a powerful narcotic painkiller called fentanyl is referred to as 'zombie drug' and has become a serious social issue. According to the citizens' group 'Families Against Fentanyl', about 210,000 people have died from fentanyl overdoses between 2015 and 2021.

Paris was born on April 3, 1998, as the second child of Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe. At her father's funeral in 2009, she tearfully said, "Dad was always the best dad. I want to say I love you," evoking sympathy from many.

She officially debuted in the entertainment industry as a cover model for Rolling Stone in 2017 and is currently active as a model, actress, and singer-songwriter. Meanwhile, she publicly came out as pansexual through her social media in 2018.
