Wen rushed at Grande, wrapping his arms around her neck and moving vigorously. Grande was startled and stumbled due to the man's sudden actions, and fellow actress Erivo immediately intervened to try to pull him away. Soon after, security personnel rushed to the scene and subdued Wen.

The Singapore judge presiding over the case pointed out that Wen had repeatedly engaged in similar behavior to attract public attention.

The judge warned, "It seems you have not faced any punishment for your past actions, and you likely expected the same outcome this time. However, your judgment was wrong, and you must remember that every action has consequences."
