
2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics Skeleton Gold Medalist Yun Seong-bin is making his return to television through MBN's new sports variety show 'Spike War'.
According to the broadcasting industry on the 17th, MBN's sports variety show 'Spike War', which will premiere on November 30 at 9:30 PM, will feature the volleyball challenges of stars on an 18X9m court. This program will include sports stars who have reached the top in their respective fields, led by Yun Seong-bin, including former national basketball player Woo Ji-won, former national baseball player Lee Dae-hyung, former badminton gold medalist Lee Yong-dae, and fencing gold medalist Kim Jun-ho.
Joining Legendary Coaches and Professional Members
'Spike War' will be led by Korean men's volleyball legend Kim Se-jin as the head coach, with Shin Jin-sik and Kim Yo-han as coaches, forming a mixed-gender celebrity volleyball team with the ultimate goal of a Korea-Japan match.
Yun Seong-bin, the first Asian skeleton gold medalist, is expected to showcase exceptional performance as an ace in volleyball based on his outstanding athletic ability and jumping skills.
In particular, former professional volleyball players joining the cast will enhance the program's quality. They include model Lee Yoo-an, who is a former volleyball player, and former V-League skilled setter Si Eun-mi. Lee Yoo-an has experience joining Heungkuk Life in the 2019 KOVO women's rookie draft, while Si Eun-mi has played in the V-League for 10 years.
The production team stated, "The five national representatives who have dreamed of becoming volleyball players showed exceptional passion during the draft," and expressed their anticipation that viewers will see their unique charm and burning competitive spirit in this unfamiliar challenge.
