Minka Kelly Caught Off Guard by Questions About Her Romance with Dan Reynolds... "He's a Really Good Person"

Hollywood actress Minka Kelly appeared on NBC's talk show 'Today with Jenna & Friends' on November 18, where she visibly appeared caught off guard when asked about her relationship with Dan Reynolds, the frontman of Imagine Dragons.

Uncomfortable with Personal Questions

Host Jenna Bush Hager asked, "Speaking of the holidays, love, and this romantic comedy, you have a great love in your life right now," and requested, "If you're comfortable, please share about your relationship." Kelly seemed shocked, leaning back or looking elsewhere, unable to hide her discomfort.

Hager directly referenced a touching phrase Kelly had posted on Instagram celebrating Reynolds' birthday, saying, "He healed wounds I didn't know I had." In response, Kelly simply replied, "Yes, it's beautiful. I really think I'm lucky. He's a really good person." avoiding expanding on the personal conversation.

Meeting Through Shared Pain and Books

Kelly and Reynolds are said to have first met in 2022 through a mutual friend.

In a July 2024 interview with People, Dan Reynolds revealed that the two grew closer by talking on the phone about Reynolds' album 'Room' and Kelly's memoir 'Tell Me Everything'. He explained, "It ultimately became something really beautiful and brought us much closer together," describing the start of their romance.

Minka Kelly left a heartfelt message on Instagram for Reynolds' 38th birthday last July, saying, "I thought I knew kindness. Love. And then I met him." She added, "Thank you for loving me in a way I never thought was possible but always dreamed of. Thank you for blessing my life."

Promoting Netflix Movie and Cameo Appearance

Kelly is currently promoting Netflix's new Christmas movie 'Champagne Problems'. The film follows an American female executive who goes on a business trip to France and develops a romance with the son of a champagne company founder, set to premiere on Netflix on November 19.

Additionally, Kelly is filming Season 2 of the hit Netflix western series 'Ransom Canyon', where her boyfriend Reynolds made a cameo appearance and helped her with her piano practice, drawing attention.

Minka Kelly, known for her role as Lyla Garrity in 'Friday Night Lights', has also been active outside of acting, with her memoir 'Tell Me Everything' published in 2023 making it to the New York Times bestseller list. Meanwhile, Dan Reynolds has four children with his ex-wife Aja Volkman.
