Director Min Kyu-dong of 〈Herstory〉 and 〈Good News〉 Director Byun Sung-hyun will meet the audience with their selected films.

Cineplay, the official partner of Naver Movie Content, and the music-specialized content screening lounge Orpheo Hannam will hold a special exhibition on November 29 (Saturday) and 30 (Sunday). The two directors have joined the GV guest lineup alongside Cineplay's editor-in-chief Joo Sung-cheol, music critics Hwang Deok-ho, Bae Soon-tak, and Kim Na-hee. They will participate in the GV after the film screenings to provide in-depth commentary.

The work chosen by Director Min Kyu-dong is Hirokazu Kore-eda's feature debut 〈The Light of Illusion〉 (1995). This film, considered one of the most beautiful debuts in film history, tells the story of a woman who cannot escape the shadow of loss after her husband's sudden death. 〈The Light of Illusion〉 won the Golden Osella at the 52nd Venice International Film Festival and was completed with excellent landscape aesthetics and delicate film music influenced by the Taiwanese New Wave of Hou Hsiao-hsien and Edward Yang.

Director Byun Sung-hyun's choice is the early work of 'The Master Loved by Cannes' Jacques Audiard, 〈The Heartbeat That My Heart Skipped〉 (2005). This film depicts the transformation of a man who gave up his dream of being a pianist and lived as a gangster, returning to play the piano after ten years, and it became a hot topic as French national actor Romain Duris challenged himself to play the piano. Notably, Alexandre Desplat, who won the Academy Award for Best Music twice for 〈The Grand Budapest Hotel〉 and 〈The Shape of Water〉, participated in creating a soundtrack that ranges from Bach's classics to electronic music.

This special exhibition will also screen Ryuichi Sakamoto's documentary trilogy 〈Ryuichi Sakamoto: Coda〉 (2017) 〈Ryuichi Sakamoto: Async〉 (2018) 〈Ryuichi Sakamoto: Opus〉 (2023). Located on the 5th floor of Yongsan Sounds Hannam, Orpheo Hannam is a premium cinema with 30 seats equipped with 34 Danish Steinway Ringdorf high-end speaker systems, known for its delicate sound expression. Reservations and cancellations can be made through the Orpheo Hannam KakaoTalk channel.
