
〈Wicked: For Good〉 attracted 100,000 viewers on its opening day, gaining momentum.
〈Wicked: For Good〉 is a film adaptation of the musical of the same name and a sequel to 〈Wicked〉. It tells the story of the 'wicked witch' Elphaba and the 'good witch' Glinda, who were friends but went their separate ways due to their choices. Just before its release, the previous film 〈Wicked〉 was re-released, drawing public attention. 〈Wicked: For Good〉 was released on November 19 and met the Korean audience.
On the day of its release, 〈Wicked: For Good〉 attracted 100,814 viewers according to the KOBIS integrated ticketing system. Despite having no advance screenings or promotions, it immediately surpassed 100,000 viewers on the day of release, showcasing its strong potential. Compared to the previous film 〈Wicked〉, which attracted 84,925 viewers on its opening day, this is a slight increase.
Directed by Jon Chu and starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, 〈Wicked: For Good〉 is currently showing in theaters.
