Nam Ji-hyun Makes a Comeback with Historical Drama... 'To My Beloved Thief' Still Released

Actress Nam Ji-hyun returns to the small screen with a historical drama after 8 years.

On the 27th, KBS 2TV revealed stills of actress Nam Ji-hyun from the new Saturday-Sunday mini-series 〈To My Beloved Thief〉, which is set to premiere on January 3, 2026. 〈To My Beloved Thief〉 is a drama that tells the dangerous and great romance of a woman who accidentally becomes the world's greatest thief and the prince who chases her, as their souls switch and they save each other while ultimately protecting the people.

Nam Ji-hyun makes her return to historical dramas after 8 years since the 2018 tvN drama 〈The Crowned Clown〉. In 〈To My Beloved Thief〉, Nam Ji-hyun plays the role of Hong Eun-jo, a female doctor and a thief named 'Gil-dong'. Hong Eun-jo is a daughter born to a noble father and a lowly mother, but she possesses a strong character that does not easily bend to the powerful. She is a model of 'strong against the strong, weak against the weak' who cares for the weak with sincerity.

The released stills show the dual life of the beloved doctor Hong Eun-jo. With a bright smile like the sun, she shares warmth with people, but as the sun sets, she reveals a solemn expression while holding Gil-dong's mask. In particular, Hong Eun-jo's different appearance dressed in beautiful silk clothes is also captured. Her elegant demeanor, comparable to that of a noblewoman, raises curiosity about how she became the friend of the people, the righteous thief Gil-dong.
