'Stranger Things' Season 5 Final Episode Confirmed with a Runtime of 2 Hours and 5 Minutes... Releasing on December 31

Netflix's flagship series 〈Stranger Things〉 will release its final episode with a movie-length runtime.

On the 3rd (local time), Netflix announced through Tudum that the official runtime for the final episode, episode 8 titled 'The Rightside Up', of 〈Stranger Things〉 Season 5 has been confirmed to be 2 hours and 5 minutes (125 minutes).

The release schedule has also been specified. The finale episode will be released worldwide on Netflix at 5 PM (Pacific Standard Time) on December 31, 2025. Thus, 〈Stranger Things〉 Season 5 will have a three-part structure: ▲ Volume 1 (Episodes 1-4, released on November 26) ▲ Volume 2 (Episodes 5-7, released on December 25) ▲ Finale (Episode 8, released on December 31).

An offline screening event to celebrate the series' conclusion will also be held. Netflix announced that on the release date of the finale, December 31, and January 1, 2026, the final episode will be specially screened in over 500 theaters across the United States and Canada. Ticket reservations are currently being conducted through a dedicated website.

The world is watching to see how the adventures in Hawkins, which began in 2016, will conclude with an unprecedented runtime of 125 minutes.
