Spotify 2025 Year-End Review, Winner is Bad Bunny... K-Content 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' and Rosé Shine!

Netflix's hit series 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' (hereafter K-Pop Demon Hunters) soundtrack has taken the global music market by storm.

According to Spotify's announcement on the 3rd (local time) regarding '2025 Year-End Review' (Spotify Wrapped 2025), the K-Pop Demon Hunters OST ranked 2nd in the global top 10 album rankings, surpassing albums by mainstream American pop stars like Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, and Kendrick Lamar.

The album's title track 'Golden' also ranked 7th in the global top 10 song rankings, proving the musical influence of K-Pop Demon Hunters. In the same category, 'APT.' by Blackpink's Rosé and Bruno Mars took 3rd place.

On the U.S. charts, the K-Pop Demon Hunters OST ranked 4th among popular albums, and 'Golden' ranked 6th among popular songs, confirming its high popularity in North America.

This year's most popular top 10 album was 'Debi Tirar Mas Fotos' by Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny.(Debi Tirar Mas Fotos)Bad Bunny's other album released in 2022, 'Un Verano Sin Ti'(Un Verano Sin Ti)also entered the global top 10 album list at 10th place, proving his continued popularity. Additionally, Bad Bunny topped the global top 10 artist rankings, surpassing Taylor Swift (2nd).

Meanwhile, the most played song on Spotify this year was the duet 'Die With A Smile'(Die With A Smile)by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars.

In the U.S. popular artist rankings, Taylor Swift maintained 1st place, followed by Drake, Morgan Wallen, Kendrick Lamar, and Bad Bunny. Kendrick Lamar's collaboration with SZA on 'Luther'(luther)was selected as the top popular song in the U.S., surpassing Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' 'Die With A Smile'.

AP reported that Bad Bunny was named the most played artist for the 4th time from 2020 to 2022, pushing Taylor Swift, who had held the throne for the past two years, out of the top spot. U.S. media 'Hollywood Reporter' emphasized Bad Bunny's overwhelming number one record and the remarkable strength of K-Pop Demon Hunters.

Spotify is the largest platform, accounting for about 31% of the total music streaming market, with a total of 713 million users and 281 million paid subscribers across more than 180 markets worldwide.
