"After high-fiving fans, he immediately frowned and said, 'I need hand sanitizer.'"
The hypocritical true face of Sean 'Diddy' Combs, who has fallen from a hip-hop mogul to a criminal, has been fully revealed. The Netflix documentary produced by his eternal rival 50 Cent has finally unveiled its secrets.
On the 3rd (local time), Netflix released the four-part documentary 'Sean Combs: The Reckoning'. This work tracks Combs' success myth up to the point where he was sentenced to 50 months in prison for charges of transporting for prostitution last July.
◆ Record from 6 Days Before Arrest... "Give Me Hand Sanitizer" Behind Fans
The most shocking scene is an unreleased video filmed just 6 days before Combs was arrested in New York in September 2024. In the video, Combs is surrounded by fans in Harlem, greeting them with a bright smile, but as soon as he gets into the car, he shows his displeasure at contact with fans by saying "I need hand sanitizer".
Director Alexandria Stapleton hinted that the footage was secured through Combs' associates, stating, "Combs has been obsessed with being filmed his whole life."
◆ The Night of Notorious B.I.G.'s Death, and Aubrey O'Day's Tears
The documentary delves deep into Combs' dark past. Unreleased footage and 911 recordings from the night legendary rapper Notorious B.I.G. was shot and killed in 1997 were revealed.
Additionally, the secret diary of Bad Boy Entertainment co-founder Kirk Burrows and detailed testimonies of sexual assault from Aubrey O'Day, a member of the girl group Danity Kane, added to the shock. Two jurors from Combs' federal trial also appeared to explain for the first time the background of his acquittal on some charges.
◆ "It's Stolen Footage" vs "It's Legal"
Combs' team, currently incarcerated, immediately protested. Combs' legal team sent a letter to Netflix requesting the suspension of the documentary, claiming, "The footage used in this documentary is stolen."
However, Netflix dismissed the claims, stating, "All allegations are false, and the footage was obtained legally." Executive producer 50 Cent explained the reason for continuing production in an interview with NBC News, stating, "If no one speaks up, it will seem like the entire hip-hop culture condones such behavior."
