Disney 'Zootopia 2' Draws 1.25 Million Over the Weekend, Approaching 4 Million... 'Avatar 3' Takes the Top Spot in Pre-sales

Disney animated film 〈Zootopia 2〉 has dominated the weekend box office, nearing 4 million viewers just 11 days after its release.

According to the integrated ticket sales network for movie theaters, from the 5th to the 7th, 〈Zootopia 2〉 attracted over 1.252 million viewers (with a revenue share of 68.9%), maintaining its position at the top of the box office. The cumulative audience reached over 3.931 million.

Director Ha Jung-woo's new film 〈The People Upstairs〉 debuted at No. 2 with over 129,000 viewers (with a revenue share of 7.1%). Starring Ha Jung-woo, Gong Hyo-jin, Lee Ha-nee, and Kim Dong-wook, this comedy depicts two couples in an apartment candidly discussing their marital relationships over dinner.

The third spot at the box office was taken by the Japanese animated film 〈JUJUTSU KAISEN: Shibuya Incident /Culling Game - The Movie〉, which drew over 121,000 viewers (with a revenue share of 7.2%) in its opening weekend.

Emma Tammi's horror film 〈Freddy's Pizza Place 2〉 came in fourth with over 65,000 viewers, while the comedy 〈The Informant〉, starring Heo Sung-tae and Jo Bok-rae, recorded over 53,000 viewers in fifth place.

As of 9 AM that day, the top pre-sale rate was held by James Cameron's upcoming film 〈Avatar: Fire and Ash〉, set to be released on the 17th. This sequel to 〈Avatar: The Way of Water〉 has over 95,000 pre-sales completed.

The second spot in pre-sales was taken by 〈Zootopia 2〉 with over 72,000 pre-sales, followed by 〈The People Upstairs〉 with over 13,000 pre-sales.
