The group BTS has proven to be an icon of the era by becoming the first Korean singer to receive the Presidential Commendation at the 'Good Donation Award' in South Korea.

On December 8, the '5th Good Donation Award' ceremony, hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and organized by the Korea Charity Council, took place. At this event, BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook) was awarded the highest honor, the Presidential Commendation, in recognition of their continuous charitable activities and efforts to spread social messages since 2017.

The 'LOVE MYSELF' campaign, which BTS started in partnership with the Korean Committee for UNICEF in 2017, has become a social phenomenon beyond a simple campaign. As the first pop artist to officially partner with UNICEF, they have provided violence prevention and psychological support for children and adolescents in 155 countries and regions worldwide, offering mental health programs to over 100 million young people. With the support of their fandom 'ARMY', Big Hit Music and BTS have raised approximately 9.2 billion won and have established themselves as the largest private partner in UNICEF's global child protection sector.

On this day, BTS expressed their gratitude in their acceptance speech by attributing the honor to their fans. The members stated, "We feel a great sense of fulfillment knowing that the 'LOVE MYSELF' campaign has had a positive impact on society," and humbly added, "This award is not for us, but for everyone who resonates with the message of 'loving ourselves and loving the world,' especially our ARMY members."
