"The director liberated me. At 76, feeling like a 14-year-old girl running through the forest, this is the best experience of my acting life."

The queen of sci-fi, Sigourney Weaver, shared her overwhelming feelings about James Cameron's new film 'Avatar: Fire and Ash'.

On the 9th (local time), Weaver appeared on the flagship morning show of ABC in the U.S., 'Good Morning America', expressing deep affection for the upcoming Avatar 3, set to be released on December 19, and her character 'Kiri'.

◆ "Cameron Believed in Me"

Weaver, who has collaborated with director Cameron since 'Aliens' in 1986, defined her role in this film as "the best job I've ever had".

She explained, "Cameron's leadership gives actors an incredible sense of liberation. I just had to let Kiri go where she wanted to go," adding, "The only reason I could fully trust my instincts on set was because of his encouragement." Weaver plays the mysterious 14-year-old Na'vi girl 'Kiri', born from Dr. Grace's avatar, following her previous role in 'The Way of Water'.

◆ Fire and Ash, and Heartbeats

Weaver predicted that this film would provide emotional resonance beyond visual spectacle. Agreeing with Cameron's earlier statement that "this film contains heartbreaking heartbeats," Weaver added, "Audiences will see the world of Pandora in the most profound and intimate way possible."

In this installment, in addition to returning cast members like Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington, Una Chaplin from 'Game of Thrones' joins as the leader of the fire-themed Na'vi tribe 'Ash', adding new tension.

◆ "Will Ripley Return?"

Another highlight of the interview was the mention of a potential 'Alien' series return. Recently at a Paris premiere, Weaver surprised everyone by revealing that producer Walter Hill wrote a 50-page script addressing the future of her iconic role, 'Ellen Ripley'.

She stated on the broadcast, "We are taking steps forward. I hope this comes to fruition," keeping the possibility of the legendary return alive and exciting sci-fi fans worldwide.

James Cameron's masterpiece 'Avatar: Fire and Ash' will be released simultaneously in theaters worldwide on December 19.
