Lee Byung-hun Selected as the Top Movie Actor of the Year After 2012

Lee Byung-hun has been named the top movie actor of the year.

Gallup Korea announced the results of the 'Top Movie Actor of the Year' survey on December 18. In this survey, actor Lee Byung-hun received 25.8% of the votes, securing the first place. The survey was conducted from November 11 to 28, targeting 1,700 individuals aged 13 and older across the country with open-ended responses.

Lee Byung-hun starred in 〈The Battle〉 and 〈There’s Nothing I Can Do〉, and participated in the local animation 〈King of Kings〉, leading the Korean film industry. He also played the voice of the demon in the Netflix original 〈K-Pop Demon Hunters〉, promoting Korean culture. Additionally, he showcased an overwhelming presence as the Frontman in seasons 2 and 3 of the Netflix original series 〈Squid Game〉, demonstrating his versatility. He reclaimed the title of 'Top Movie Actor of the Year' for the first time since 2012.

Following Lee Byung-hun, Ma Dong-seok took second place with 18.4%, and Lee Jung-jae came in third with 15.5%. Hwang Jung-min, Hyun Bin, and Jo Jung-suk followed in the rankings, while Kim Go-eun and Son Ye-jin were jointly selected for eighth place.
