Singer and actress IU has once again extended a warm hand to the neighbors in need as the year comes to a close.

On the 31st, her agency Idam Entertainment announced that IU donated a total of 200 million won to support vulnerable groups under the name 'IUana', which combines her stage name and fandom name.

The donation will be distributed as 50 million won each to the Korean Single Mothers Family Association, the Child Rights Protection Agency, Love Snail, and the Wuyang Foundation. The funds will be broadly used for supporting single mothers facing economic difficulties, initial costs for the independence of children aging out of care, cochlear implant surgeries and hearing aid support for the hearing impaired, and food support for the elderly at risk of hunger during winter.

IU has been exercising her positive influence by donating with her fandom 'Uana' on meaningful days every year, such as her debut anniversary, birthday, and year-end.

In particular, it has been reported that the total amount of donations IU has made this year, including this donation, reaches an astonishing 950 million won.

Through social media, IU conveyed her New Year greetings to fans and the public, stating, "I close the year 2025, which felt eternal, with warmth. Let's meet more often in 2026 with things that are possible because we are us. Happy New Year!"

A representative from the Wuyang Foundation, which received the donation, expressed gratitude, saying, "I sincerely thank IU and the Uana members for delivering warm sharing under the name IUana" and added, "The donation will be used carefully to check on low-income elderly people at risk of hunger with quality food."

Meanwhile, IU is currently focused on filming her upcoming drama '21st Century Great Lady'.
