Singer and actress IU has donated a total of 200 million won to celebrate her 17th debut anniversary, as announced by her agency Idam Entertainment on the 18th. This donation was made under the name 'IUana', a combination of her name and her fandom name 'Uaena'.
The donation was distributed to four foundations, with each receiving 50 million won to support socially vulnerable groups. The selected beneficiary organizations are the Korea Disability Foundation, Make-A-Wish Korea, Heart-to-Heart Foundation, and the Korea Vulnerable Elderly Support Foundation, which will utilize the funds for support projects for children with incurable diseases, people with disabilities, youth preparing for independence, and elderly individuals living alone.

IU has consistently engaged in donation activities under the name 'IUana' not only on her debut anniversary but also on meaningful days such as her birthday and year-end holidays. This year alone, she donated 200 million won for support related to the large forest fire damage in the Gyeongsang region and for improving firefighter treatment, and on Children's Day, she donated 150 million won for child and youth support. On her birthday in May, she also generously donated 200 million won for vulnerable group support.
Recently, IU held a fan meeting at the KSPO Dome in Olympic Park, Seoul, on the 13th and 14th. During the event, she was in the spotlight for interacting with wheelchair-bound audience members by holding their hands during the encore stage. She is currently filming her upcoming drama 〈21st Century Great Lady〉.
