Broadcaster Boom and actor Kim Jae-won will appear as the first guests of the new year on KBS 2TV's entertainment program ‘1 Night 2 Days Season 4’. The two participated in the filming held on the 2nd in the areas of Pyeongchang and Inje in Gangwon Province, filling the void left by Jo Se-ho, who has departed from the show.

This invitation was realized unexpectedly, drawing attention. After the ‘2025 KBS Entertainment Awards’ ceremony held at the end of last year, Boom and Kim Jae-won coincidentally joined the ‘1 Night 2 Days’ team's dinner, where the members suggested, "Please come to the first filming of the new year," which the two readily accepted, leading to their surprise appearance. Notably, the two had already shown exceptional chemistry in last year's program ‘Going and Coming Lee Min-jung’, raising expectations for their performance this time.

According to on-site officials, Boom played a significant role in leading the atmosphere of the filming site with his unique sociability and witty remarks, while Kim Jae-won exuded pure charm as the passionate youngest member, naturally blending in with the other members. The production team also expressed satisfaction with the new synergy they would show with the existing members and the unpredictable mission execution process.

Meanwhile, former member Jo Se-ho abruptly left major programs he was appearing on, including ‘1 Night 2 Days’ and ‘You Quiz on the Block’, after allegations of involvement with organized crime surfaced last month. At that time, Jo Se-ho apologized for not being cautious in his relationships with people around him, while stating that the allegations were unfounded. After entering a period of self-reflection following the controversy, he recently announced his return through the Netflix original entertainment program ‘Driver 4’, signaling the resumption of his activities.
