Actress Shin Eun-kyung has achieved the remarkable feat of being nominated for Best Actress at the Mainichi Film Competition in Japan.

Shin Eun-kyung's agency, Pompare, announced on the 2nd, "Actress Shin Eun-kyung has been nominated for the Best Actress award at the 80th Mainichi Film Competition, hosted by the Mainichi Shimbun and Sports Nippon Shimbun, for her role in 〈Travel and Days〉." They added, "This category is significant as it is a combined Best Actor and Actress category without distinction between male and female actors." The Mainichi Film Competition is considered one of the most historically significant award ceremonies in Japan.

Shin Eun-kyung has already achieved remarkable success internationally, having won Best Actress awards in both Korea and Japan. She gained attention by being nominated for Best Actress at the Nikkan Sports Film Awards and the Singapore International Film Festival for her role in the film 〈Travel and Days〉.

Meanwhile, the film 〈Travel and Days〉, starring Shin Eun-kyung, has surpassed 50,000 viewers domestically and continues to perform well into the new year. Shin Eun-kyung is set to appear in the tvN weekend drama 〈How to Become a Property Owner in Korea〉, which will air in March.
