Ryu Jun-yeol X Hyeri, Join Together for the 10th Anniversary OST Album Release of 'Reply 1988'

The groundbreaking tvN drama 〈Reply 1988〉 is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a special gift. Production company Studio Mind C announced that the 'Reply 1988 10th Anniversary OST' album, featuring the main cast members participating in the singing, will be officially released on various music sites on January 9.

This album has been newly arranged with a modern touch for the fans who have cherished the work over the past 10 years. Notably, Ryu Jun-yeol and Hyeri, who moved viewers' hearts as Jung-hwan and Deok-sun in the drama, are drawing attention as they participate in singing under the unit name 'Ssangmun-dong Kids'. The main actors from that time, including Go Kyung-pyo, Park Bo-gum, and Lee Dong-hwi, have all come together to sing 'Hyehwa-dong (or Ssangmun-dong)', capturing the unique emotions and narratives that only the actors can convey, providing a deep resonance.

The album's composition is also well-structured. Park Bo-gum reinterprets 'Every Day with You' with his sweet voice, and the three mothers in the drama, Lee Il-hwa, Ra Mi-ran, and Kim Sun-young, have come together to sing 'Don't Worry, Dear' under the name 'Wild Dogs', totaling 6 tracks. The pre-released tracks from last month have already received a hot response. 'Hyehwa-dong (or Ssangmun-dong)' soared to 9th place on the Melon 'HOT 100' chart, and 'Don't Worry, Dear' also secured a high position, proving the drama's continued impact.

Director Shin Won-ho explained that this project is a message of gratitude to the viewers who have been with them for the past 10 years, expressing his hope that the music will evoke the warm emotions of Ssangmun-dong once again. Producer Ma Ju-hee, who was in charge of the OST production, also expressed confidence that the album is the most authentic result, as it captures the voices of the actors who best understand the characters from that time.

This 10th-anniversary commemorative album, blending timeless classics and the sincere voices of the actors, is currently available for pre-order on major online sites and is set to reach fans on January 9.
