Governors Ball 2026 Lineup Announced, Lorde and Stray Kids Confirmed as Headliners

The representative music festival that heralds summer in New York, 'Governors Ball Music Festival', has showcased the status of K-Pop in its 15th year. The group Stray Kids will take the stage as a headliner at a major U.S. festival.

On the 7th (local time), the Governors Ball team revealed the full lineup for the '2026 Governors Ball', which will be held for three days from June 5 to 7 at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, New York.

◆ Stray Kids to Dominate New York Nights

The most notable name is undoubtedly Stray Kids. They have been named as one of the three headliners of the festival alongside Lorde and A$AP Rocky. It is a very rare and symbolic event for a K-Pop boy group to headline a major music festival in the U.S. Additionally, BLACKPINK's Jennie and HYBE's global girl group KATSEYE are also included in the lineup, making this year's Governors Ball more infused with K-Pop than ever. Billboard commented that this is "an important milestone showing K-Pop's share in the U.S. mainstream music market."

◆ 'The Returning Queen' Lorde, and the Unification of Genres

New Zealand pop star Lorde returns to the Governors Ball stage after about nine years since 2017. Additionally, hip-hop star A$AP Rocky will headline, showcasing New York's hip-hop soul. Over 60 teams, including Kali Uchis, Baby Keem, and Pierce the Veil, will fill three stages. The participation of indie rock bands Wet Leg and Geese has further enhanced the festival's musical diversity.

◆ Tickets Open on the 8th... "Grab Them Before Prices Go Up"

Ticket sales will begin for SMS pre-registered users at 10 AM on January 8 (Eastern Standard Time). General sales will start at 11 AM for remaining tickets, with the organizers announcing that ticket prices will increase from the start of general sales.

Starting in 2011, the Governors Ball is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. Having begun on Governors Island, it has now established itself as a landmark festival in Queens, and the attention of music fans worldwide is focused on what kind of synergy it will create with K-Pop superstars.
