'God of War' Live-Action Kratos, Ryan Hurst Confirmed... A Twist as 'Thor' in the Game

Ryan Hurst has been cast as the 'God of War'.

According to American media 'Variety', actor Ryan Hurst will star as the protagonist Kratos in the live-action drama adaptation of the popular game 'God of War'. 'God of War' is a game released in 2018 that depicts the journey of Spartan general Kratos, who seeks revenge on the Greek gods, 20 years after his vengeance, as he travels with his son Atreus to scatter the ashes of his wife Faye.

Ryan Hurst previously portrayed the Norse god Thor in the series. Standing at 197cm tall, he has consistently appeared in films and dramas, including as Gary in 〈Remember the Titans〉 and Beta in 〈The Walking Dead〉.

The live-action drama 〈God of War〉 is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM. Ronald D. Moore, the showrunner of 〈Battlestar Galactica〉 and 〈For All Mankind〉, is the showrunner, and Fredrik E.O. Toy will direct some episodes, having previously directed 〈Fallout〉.
