With a full group comeback approaching in March, BTS has added another significant record in the Japanese music market, showcasing their unwavering status.
Their agency, Big Hit Music, announced on the 30th that BTS's 'Yet To Come' has surpassed 100 million cumulative streams, receiving a Platinum certification from the Japan Record Association, while 'Love Maze' has exceeded 50 million streams, earning a Gold certification. The certification criteria are based on the tally from December of last year.
The Japan Record Association grants Gold (50 million), Platinum (100 million), and Diamond (500 million) certifications monthly based on the cumulative streaming counts of songs. To date, BTS has accumulated 16 Platinum and 48 Gold certifications in the streaming category.
The title track 'Yet To Come' from the anthology album 'Proof' is a song that reflects on BTS's musical journey and promises a bright future. 'Love Maze' is a track from their 3rd studio album 'Love Yourself: Tear', expressing a desire for not getting lost in the maze and in each other.
Meanwhile, BTS is set to release their 5th studio album 'Arirang' on March 20, preparing for a full group comeback after 3 years and 9 months. They will hold a comeback celebration performance in Gwanghwamun on March 21 and embark on a world tour starting from the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium on April 9, covering 34 cities.
