BTS Takes Over All of Seoul... Regular 5th Album 'ARIRANG' Comeback Project

The group BTS is transforming all of Seoul into a massive cultural experience space to celebrate the release of their regular 5th album.

On the 6th, their agency Big Hit Music announced that from March 20, the release date of BTS's regular 5th album 〈ARIRANG〉 (Arirang) to April 12, a large-scale project 〈BTS THE CITY ARIRANG〉 (BTS The City Arirang Seoul, hereafter 'The City Seoul') will be held. This project will be linked to the 〈BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG〉 taking place at Gwanghwamun Square and will unfold simultaneously throughout various locations in Seoul.

On the album release day, March 20, landmarks in Seoul such as Sungnyemun and Seoul Tower (formerly Namsan Tower) will be illuminated with media facades. In particular, modern media art will be applied to the national treasure Sungnyemun, creating a symbolic scene where tradition and the present coexist, aiming to convey the value of our cultural heritage to the world.

An experiential space for fans will also be set up. At Yeouido Hangang Park, from March 20 to 22, a lounge program will be operated where fans can share and enjoy BTS's music. Following this, in April, a street exhibition will utilize the stone walls, stairs, and tree-lined streets of downtown Seoul to present the lyrics of BTS's songs through light and video.

Big Hit Music stated, "This 'The City Seoul' has been planned in collaboration with the Seoul City so that both tourists and citizens can enjoy BTS's comeback in a multi-dimensional way," adding, "Various partnership events with companies in F&B (food and beverage), mobility, and more are also being prepared."

Previously, BTS successfully led the 'The City' project in Las Vegas and Busan in the United States in 2022. This 〈BTS THE CITY ARIRANG〉 will sequentially unfold in major cities around the world, starting from Seoul.
