The group BTS has officially announced on the 3rd that they will hold 'BTS Comeback Live: Arirang' (BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE|ARIRANG) on March 21 at 8 PM at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul to celebrate the release of their 5th studio album.
This concert will be a historic stage where BTS will unveil their new songs, including the title track, for the first time at Gwanghwamun Square, a representative space of Korea.
Big Hit Music stated, "This is the first time a singer has held a solo concert at Gwanghwamun Square," and added, "BTS will set another milestone in Korean cultural history through this stage."
BTS previously showcased a performance against the backdrop of Gyeongbokgung Palace's Geunjeongjeon and Gyeonghoeru as part of a special weekly program on NBC TV 〈The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon〉 in 2020.
This concert, taking place in the heart of Seoul after about five and a half years, is expected to mark a new beginning for BTS.

The Gwanghwamun Square concert will be live-streamed to over 190 countries worldwide via Netflix. This is the first time a major event held in Korea will be broadcast live in real-time on Netflix globally.
Big Hit Music explained, "The new album 'Arirang' contains the starting point, identity, and emotions that BTS wants to convey now," and emphasized the symbolic meaning of the word 'Arirang', stating that they wanted to hold the first performance in a space representing Korea.
A documentary film covering the production process of BTS's new album 〈BTS: The Return〉 will also be released on Netflix on the 27th of next month.
The documentary captures the struggles faced by the group as they release new music after 3 years and 9 months and the process of completing 'the current BTS'.
BTS's 5th album 'Arirang' will be released on the 20th of next month at 1 PM. The album will include 14 new songs that deal with universal emotions such as identity, longing, and deep love.
