"Why Are There No White People?"... Jill Zarin Disparaged Bad Bunny and Was Fired from Both Broadcasting and Family Business

American reality star Jill Zarin has faced the disgrace of being expelled from both the broadcasting industry and her family business due to racist remarks about the Super Bowl halftime show.

According to reports from E! News and Variety on the 11th (Korean time), the production company Blink49 Studios announced on the 10th that they had decided not to include her in the new reality show 'The Golden Life' considering her recent public statements. This came just a week after she was announced as part of the cast.

◆ "I Can't Understand Spanish... Where Are the White People?"

The incident began with a video Zarin posted on Instagram right after the Super Bowl on the 8th. She criticized Bad Bunny's halftime show as "the worst ever," stating, "It is inappropriate to perform in Spanish at a celebration of America's 250th anniversary." She continued, "I don't understand Spanish. I wish I knew what he was saying," and claimed, "There were hardly any white people in the entire performance. It looked like a political statement to me (related to ICE)." This statement ignored the fact that white pop star Lady Gaga was also on stage at the time. Zarin even went so far as to disparage Lady Gaga, saying, "I couldn't recognize her because of the plastic surgery and had to Google her to find out who she was."

◆ Colleagues and Family Company Turned Against Her

Although the video was deleted, it quickly spread through social media, resulting in a fierce backlash. Colleagues from the 'Real Housewives' series, including Tamra Judge ("What the heck"), Chanel Ayan ("Disgusting"), and Margaret Josephs ("Shocking and disappointing"), publicly condemned her and unfollowed her.

The most shocking response came from the fabric company 'Zarin Fabrics', owned by her late husband Bobby Zarin. The company posted a photo of Zarin's face marked with a large red X on their official social media, stating, "We firmly oppose racism and discrimination," drawing a line between them and her.

Meanwhile, 'The Golden Life' is set to begin filming as planned this spring in Palm Beach, Florida, without Zarin, alongside existing members like Luann de Lesseps and Ramona Singer.
